Step 1: Go into last year's grade book (drop-down menu in the top left corner) and pick the semester from which you want to copy the assignment.

Step 2: Copy the assignment. Either use the "Tools" menu and select "Copy Assignment" - or - Right-click on the assignment that you wish to copy.

Step 3: A window with all assignments from that semester will pop up with check boxes. Select all assignments that you wish to copy. Click OK.

Step 4: The next window will ask where you want the assignments to be copied to. In the drop down menu choose this year and the class where you would like the assignment to go. (At the bottom of the window you will be given some options about the due date.) Click OK.
