The device that is used to connect wirelessly to the projector, or even the plasma TV in you room is called DIAMOND Multimedia WPCTVPRO VSTREAM Wireless USB to TV. It comes with a installation disk, but because the laptop does not have a disk drive, the software must be [http://www.diamondmm.com/wpctvpro-diamond-multimedia-wireless-usb-pc-to-tv.html downloaded]. The information on the box only mentions Windows 7, but it is compatible with Windows 8. There are two pieces to the device, a USB transmitter and a receiver. The receiver must be connect to the projector via a VGA cable and then plugged into a power source. The USB transmitter will work (after the software is installed) when plugged in. The video quality is very nice. When the USB transmitter is plugged into the computer AND a connection with the receiver has been established the system sound will stop working. This is an issue with the wireless device; Diamond Multimedia is aware of the issue and are hopefully working to resolve it. Sorry.
