Lockdown Procedure
General lockdown Procedures: (note: no longer a "code red lockdown")
Lock Doors
Close blinds- when possible
Turn off lights
Turn off unnecessary equipment (pull plugs/surge protectors)
Stay away from windows
Remain calm and quiet
Take a attendance - note discrepancies
Leave one cell phone on in the room- all others must be off
Use good and quick judgment in admit ting late students into locked room
All classes outside (P.E.) will need to use quick and good judgment in deciding whether;
Find Shelter inside a building, Hide behind walls or cargo containers,Drop to the ground in a prone position, or leave the area/Run away.
Wait for further instructions from administration/law enforcement
Verbal announcement of "LOCKDOWN" will be made by Site Administrator/designee.
Teachers in a Classroom and Staff in Offices will close and lock all classroom/office doors.
1. If student(s) are directly outside your door,allow students in quickly and
add to your roll sheet. Please make sure door {s) are locked and do not open again for any reason.
2. Stay away from all windows and sit in an orderly manner. Wait for further instructions.
3. Close all blinds,if applicable.
4. Turn all phones off,except for one {teachers/staff)
5. Please take attendance during lockdown
6. Ignore all alarms bells or classroom calls
Teachers I Staff Outside (P.E.)
1. Take shelter as quickly as possible {Dug-outs,ditches, under bleachers etc.)
ALL CLEAR
No one is to open the door for any reason.
Wait for All Clear Orders from Site Administrator or law Enforcement.
After Drill you may resume class.
